Description
Farmers Union Insurance tapped Webolutions' expertise to help re-brand and market the company in the highly competitive insurance industry.
Challenge
Farmers came to Webolutions with a need to revitalize their existing brand and a complete web site re-development. While Farmers had been a very successful in the insurance industry, they were ready to take it to the next level. Farmers' target demographic has always been in the rural communities, which can present some interesting challenges when marketing online. This demographic commonly is not up to date on technology, browser standards and usually don't have interest or time to keep up. Farmers also has several hundred agents spread across the Rocky Mountain region who needed web sites that are consistent to this new brand. Along with a new brand, Webolutions was challenged with uniquely positioning Farmers in the industry.
Solution
The Insurance industry is saturated with companies who use shades of the same red and blue color scheme to brand themselves. Webolutions wanted to challenge this "standard" color scheme and launch this new brand in a new direction. Webolutions came up with a more neutral, earthtone palette to appeal to this largely rural demographic. All of the Farmers printed literature were re-designed with this new colorscheme. Farmers needs were far more than the typical "corporate" web site. Webolutions strategy was to enable the user to search for agents, request a quote online, find a body shop in your area and view all products and services. Webolutions also built a web site builder within the corporate site so agents nationwide could login, create and customize their own site that adheres to the corporate branding.
