IA/UX Designer

 
The ideal candidate will have:
 
  • 3-5 years experience as a(n) UX designer, interaction designer, and/or information architect (agency experience highly desirable). 
  • Fluency in best practices for web-based and mobile-based information architecture and design.
  • Extensive experience with UX research methods and best practices and design patterns. 
  • Experience analyzing and understanding business and product requirements.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working in a collaborative team.
  • Experience conducting qualitative user research.
  • Proficiency in wireframing and prototyping tools (Visio, Omnigraffle, Axure, iRise, Protoshare, etc). 
  • The ability to take user-centered design methods, user needs, and business objectives, and arrive at an exceptional experience
  • A portfolio of relevant UX work that shows off your talents.
  • A degree in visual arts and design, human factors, human computer interaction, industrial design or other relevant degree. 
  • A strong understanding of HTML and CSS and a familiarity with JavaScript. 
 Key Tasks and Responsibilities
 
  • Define user profiles
  • Identify user tasks
  • Develop use cases
  • Derive inventories of content and functionality
  • Create wireframes, navigation flows, and sitemaps
  • Lead internal and client-facing UX/IA presentations.
  • Assist in the execution of the project through implementation to ensure the UX vision is carried through.
  • Stay on top of technology trends, the latest devices and software, and user experience best practices.
  • Conduct usability studies and prototype studies.
  • Conduct user research to shape the UX strategy at the beginning of the creative process.
  • Assist in requirements gathering and scope writing.
 
 
Web Designer / Front-end Developer
 
The ideal candidate will have:
 
-        3-5 years professional web design experience with a portfolio that goes with it
-        Print design & production experience
-        Exceptional HTML/CSS, Strong JavaScript and JQuery skills
-        In love with web standards and technologies
-        Strong work ethic and organizational skills
-        Understanding of UX and behavior patterns
-        Strong conceptual, design, typography and production skills
-        Expert Mac OS and Windows based knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
-        Excellent sense of typography, layout and design principles
-        Proven track record of creating intuitive and compelling UI design
-        Ability to solve design problems that meet the client’s needs
-        Experience with Wordpress theming

Key Tasks and Responsibilities
 
-        Creating design solutions for a variety of projects
-        Updates and maintenance of existing client projects
-        Collaboration with colleagues in a team environment and some client interaction
-        Manage multiple projects and time-sensitive deadlines
-        Communicate and sell your design solutions to Creative Director, team and clients
-        Tackle additional digital design tasks as required (eNewsletters, banners, print, etc).
 
A major plus:

- Familiar with ColdFusion, PHP, ActionScript, AJAX
- Mobile Application Development
