Marketing Trends 2011: Apps we'd like to see
Mike Hanbery - 12.23.2010 7:03 AM
Part I of ??
Inspired by this Pete Blackshaw blurb from Ad Age, we decided to take a peek inside the minds of some Webolutions' staff members. Turns out we think we're pretty clever.
What app should be invented in 2011?
Responder: Erik Landru, IT
App: iHysteria
What it does: Shows countdown to next Apple media event with links to discussions and media posts on what the Apple genies will release next.
Sez Erik: "I am a bit of an Apple fanboy so if this were actually real and free - I would have it."
Responder: Patrick Yuan, Online Marketing Coordinator
Mobile App: iCanCall
What it does: Allows iPhone users to make and receive phone calls without breaking up or dropping the call.
Sez Pat: "For iPhone there is an app for everything except phone calls. Elementary, really."
Responder: Mike Hanbery, Director of New Media Strategies
App: iCalmDown
What it does: Releases soothing endorphines into people residing on either extreme of the Apple love/hate thing.
Sez Mike: "To the Apple devotees: It's a company. They make stuff. It's not your company and you didn't make the stuff. Stop taking it personally. To the haters: The Republicans are back in power, so you have plenty of other people to blame for society's ills. Go for it."
More to come. We think. Maybe.
For what app are you pining?
