Marketing Trends 2011: 5 Ways to Grow Your Business
Amy Martinez - 4.13.2010 1:00 PM
It is possible to grow your business while taking the environment into consideration?
Companies all over the globe are thinking about ways to save money in their businesses while increasing their revenue. It is definitely possible to do; a little creativity is all you need.
Consumers appreciate when companies give back to the community, actively participate in creating a better society and consider the environment when making business decisions. Consumers also want to know that the companies they work with are cutting edge, use up-to-date technology and can get the job done well.
Sometimes referred to as “conscious consumerism,” this way of thinking and spending money will continue to go along with changing social ideals. The more our environment changes, the more consumers will become aware of how corporations and companies are involved in having a positive impact.
Here are 5 simple things you can do to increase revenue and save money:
- Use a Web-conferencing system so you can have more meetings with potential or existing clients and use less time, energy and gas driving to and from meetings.
- Set up a system so your employees can work from home if weather becomes and issue and they cannot make it to work. This flexibility allows business to keep on moving no matter what.
- Use digital presentations instead of printing paper. This will save money on office supplies and show your clients you are up to date with the latest technology.
- Turn off or hibernate your computers at night. This will save you money on your electricity bill, save energy and will extend the life of your electronic equipment.
- Choose an office location that is close to public transportation options. Or carpool with your coworkers. This can save resources and at the same time create stronger bonds with the people you work with.
Growing your business, while considering the environment when making business decisions, is definitely possible for many types of businesses. Sometimes it just takes a little creativity!
