Experiential Marketing Example – Continued - Glenwood Canyon Brewpub - Case Study
John Vachalek - 9.19.2011 10:57 AM
Experiential Marketing and the impact it has on your social media (thus your overall reputation) is replacing the attention most businesses paid to their conventional advertising strategies.
This series of posts will serve an interactive case study in the areas Experience Marketing, Social Media Marketing, Marketing Trends and more. Read on and see what you think.
On 7/26/2011 we published a post outlining the experience I had on 5/30/2011 when my family visited the Glenwood Canyon Brewpub at the Hotel Denver in Glenwood Springs.
As part of this case study I posted this experience on our blog. This post was indexed inside of a week under the search term, “Glenwood Canyon Brewpub” and as of today, is showing up on the first page of Google.
This case study is to help businesses better understand the importance of Experiential Marketing as it relates to social media. As well, as how important it is today to actively participate in social media listening.
If the Glenwood Canyon Brewpub were effectively listening, by simply setting up a basic Google alert to monitor content posted which contains their name, they would have seen this content 2 months ago, addressed it via a comment or something and our case study would have been wrapped up. This did not occur.
So, for our case study this month, I am creating this follow up post and this time I will share this content on Facebook and Twitter feeds as well on Google to see if this creates a different result.
How to use this Information
If you are going to ask for feedback and tell your customers to tell the world about you, you must make sure you are providing an amazing experience all the time. In today’s world every customer has the ability to share their thoughts and feelings about your business. Make sure your entire team understands this and strives to ensure that everyone has positive things to say.
Please share your thoughts and comments below. Future posts will let you know what happens as we follow this live case study.
