Denver Social Media for Business Group Packs Marketing Tool Kit

Conversation at the July, 2011, installation of Denver's premier Social Media Marketing for Business group centered around the tools we use to manage time and succeed in the medium.
Highlights of the interaction included:
- Definition of Social Media - The use of web-based and mobile technologies to turn communication into interactive dialogue. (Wikipedia). Should we also add, “regardless of time and geography” to this?
- How do you determine the best social media channels (Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube) for your company? B2B, B2C, Professional, Age, Gender, etc..
- Is MeetUp a Social Media Site? What about a blog? Forums? Review Sites? Other?
- What tools do you use to Listen to the broad conversation? Google Alerts, RSS feeds, Radian 6, etc…
- What tools do you use to manage your content postings? Tweetdeck, Hootsuite, Facebook Mobile …
